Living Simply

It's taken me a while to realize what I need to make me happy, and remarkably what I needed I already had in the first place.

For example, I thought I'd be happier when I got a car, because all I had was my bicycle. On plenty of occasions I'd be mad that I didn't have a car. When I finally got one, it made my life easier. Now, however, it's just something that adds worry to my life. It no longer makes me happy, if it ever did.

It's true that people who have less things are more willing to give. I see that for myself, and I realize that my material things, while nice to have, aren't vital to my happiness.
